A little more shameless self promotion.

Random thought to distract you from your displeasure at the lack of emails: If you're in a bad mood, the sound of sea lions barking, "arrrrkkk arrrkk aarrrk", sounds like they're laughing at you.

This Friday August 2, at 1 PM, NBG Relay cyclist Andrew Morton
http://www.PocketMail.com/?loc=us&sec=community&pg=morton arrives in
Sacramento to meet Mayor Heather Fargo and avid bike rider
councilmember Steve Cohn. They will present to him the 13th of 19
proclamations that will find their way to the Santa Cruz NBG Fest
http://www.bikeroute.com/SCNBGFest on Sunday August 11!

Here is what we have from the Mayor's office there:
--------------------
We'll be doing it at Caesar Chavez Park, right across the street from
City Hall. We were thinking all the bike riders could gather at
Discovery Park, just north of the City and ride into town together on
one of our bike paths
--------------------

Please come on your bent and show support for Andrew. Gold Country
Cyclery, the Sacto recumbent specialists, plan to have a
representative there and will also be at our Santa Cruz 8-11
Festival!!

A truly awesome young man, Andrew Morton rode to Salt Lake City for
us on his BikeE in 2000 and then went across the US in 2001 as per
http://multivac.drewish.com/gallery/2002_BikeTrek. He will be biking
the rest of the way to our festival in Santa Cruz on ** Aug 11 (11
days away!!) ** at http://www.BikeRoute.com/SCNBGFest. To see his
schedule and what the rest of our relay riders have done, go to:
